Hi! I'm Claire, and I love helping young people and adults realise they can do maths and achieve their goals.
I graduated from the University of Leeds with a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics.
Since then, I've had some fascinating career paths - first as an actuary, turning complex mathematical models into real-world insights, and then as a police detective, where problem-solving and analytical thinking were essential every day. I bring these experiences into my tutoring, showing students that maths can be relatable, rewarding, and have practical use in all kinds of situations.
Alongside exam success, I help students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills, equipping them for life well beyond the classroom. My tailored, confidence-building sessions encourage curiosity and help students feel positive about maths and their abilities.

After-school and weekend sessions typically take place at my home. Daytime sessions are also
available,
and for these I'm happy to travel to you, if required.
